One page per garage, published by the person who built it.
Garage Setups is a searchable record of garages and workshops, documented by the people who built them.
Who runs it
Garage Setups is owned and operated by PGBDIC LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. It is a small operation, which is worth knowing before you decide whether to put your garage on it: what follows describes exactly where the product is, without rounding it up.
The problem
Anyone planning a garage runs into the same wall. The information exists — thousands of people have converted a two-car garage into a workshop, a gym or a simulator bay — but it is scattered across forum threads, video descriptions and image galleries with no dimensions, no costs and no product names attached.
You cannot filter a forum thread by ceiling height. You cannot ask a photograph what the cabinets cost. And the pages that do rank for “garage renovation cost” are usually contractor marketing or affiliate round-ups written by someone who has never held a grinder.
What we are building
The same fields, on every build: exact dimensions, ceiling height, bay count, configuration, what it cost, what went in, and how it came together. Captured consistently, that turns into something you can actually search. Find a 24 × 24 detached workshop under $15,000. Find garage gyms with enough ceiling for a pull-up bar. Find which cabinets keep showing up in builds like yours.
The physical space stays at the centre. This is not a vehicle-build tracker where the garage is incidental, and it is not a general home-renovation site. It is about the room.
Where we actually are
This is a new site in its first weeks. There is no large community yet, and we are not going to manufacture the appearance of one. You will not find invented member counts, fabricated testimonials, borrowed photography or AI-generated garages presented as real submissions anywhere on this site — if a page has nothing in it, it says so and invites you to be the first.
That makes the early contributors disproportionately important. Documenting your build now means it is the reference people find.
How this is funded
The intended model is affiliate revenue on product links and, later, brand sponsorships in specific categories. Today none of that is live: there are no affiliate agreements, no sponsorships and no advertising on the site. When that changes, commercial links will be labelled individually and described on our affiliate disclosure page.
The rule we are committing to now, while it is easy: products are never ranked by what pays, and a paid placement will always be visually distinct from a recommendation that came out of a real build.
What we will not do
- Scrape or republish anyone’s photographs or build write-ups.
- Publish street addresses, or let a setup profile reveal where someone lives.
- Invent users, activity, follower counts or reviews.
- Present estimated or AI-generated content as a real owner submission.
- Claim a cost figure is verified when nobody checked an invoice.
- Generate thousands of thin location or product pages to farm search traffic.
